The Test

"If I could play one day of basketball, I would be satisfied with my life."

My name is Kylie Webster, I am 24 years old, and I suffer from a rare neurological disorder called Leigh's Disease.

....and these wheels are my feet.

When I shower and get ready for the day it is equal to a normal person running a marathon.

When I try and walk, I take 1 and 1/2 to 2 steps then fall. I don't have enough strength to keep going.

Many days when I feel alone I think, "Why me? Why is my life so hard?"

...but I know everyone is fighting their own battle. And mine is a lot easier than some peoples.

"I wouldn't change my situation for a million dollars. It has made me who I am."

Girls like these, keep me going. I live my dream through them.

They are all the best friends I could ask for. I have learned so much from every single one of them.

I know this test on earth is such a short period of time, and because of the gospel in my life, I know one day I will be able to walk, run, and play basketball.

From being on one of the teams Kylie managed, I know from experience that Kylie is more of a blessing in our lives, then we could ever be in hers. Kylie taught lessons of compassion, optimism, kindness, determination, and true love. Having her there everyday with you, you remember how the simple things like being able to write, walk, and text are such a great blessing in life. Watching Ky we learned that no matter what our trial is, we need to be able to move forward with our head up and a positive attitude.

Assignment 4- DOF and shutter speed

Narrow DOF

Wide DOF

Near Focus

Far focus

Sharp

Slow Shutter Speed

This worked well for these photos because I wanted to show the movement of the water being splashed out of the glass and the ball being pushed forward. From both photos you can see movement.

Fast Shutter Speed

For these photos this worked well because It was sunny outside and I wanted the moment to stop. You can see in the water one, the splash is very sharp and at the exact moment. In the flower one the wind was blowing but with the fast shutter speed I was able to capture the flowers with an exact position. no movement.

Assignment 2 - high key low key

I loved doing this assignment and learned so much about bracketing. It was so nice to learn about and will help so much in the future. I took the first couple objects before we learned about preseting the white balance and after I knew it made a difference using a white paper to preset it. It is crazy to look at what the camera thinks is normal and what really is. The black ones were really interesting to shoot because when I was outside looking at the camera I really thought the screen was pure black and then when I uploaded them on my computer, the ones I thought were totally black were the ones I choose with the best color. I really enjoyed doing this and learning about lighting.
