This worked well for these photos because I wanted to show the movement of the water being splashed out of the glass and the ball being pushed forward. From both photos you can see movement.

Fast Shutter Speed

For these photos this worked well because It was sunny outside and I wanted the moment to stop. You can see in the water one, the splash is very sharp and at the exact moment. In the flower one the wind was blowing but with the fast shutter speed I was able to capture the flowers with an exact position. no movement.

Assignment 2 - high key low key

I loved doing this assignment and learned so much about bracketing. It was so nice to learn about and will help so much in the future. I took the first couple objects before we learned about preseting the white balance and after I knew it made a difference using a white paper to preset it. It is crazy to look at what the camera thinks is normal and what really is. The black ones were really interesting to shoot because when I was outside looking at the camera I really thought the screen was pure black and then when I uploaded them on my computer, the ones I thought were totally black were the ones I choose with the best color. I really enjoyed doing this and learning about lighting.

Assignment 2

Sept. 11. 10 years later

That morning my grandpa's life changed like the rest of America's. Sitting in his favorite couch reading the morning paper and drinking some orange juice, he remembers it coming on the television. At first he didn't know what to think, he kept flipping the channels and there it was again. The first tower, the second, then the pentagon. What was happening?? America was in trouble and my grandpa was worried. Worried for the country and all of his family. Were we safe? He watched and listened all day and all week to get more information on the major event in history. He still remembers everything after ten years. He told me not only is America stronger because of it, but my grandpa is too.

Assignment 1- scavenger hunt

while doing this first assignment, I learned so much from lightroom. I spent the weekend in St. George and just took pictures wherever my family went. It was fun and I tried to get some interesting pictures, but we spent most of our time at the pool. It was very interesting to listen to your lecture and learn some tricks and tips. I really liked learning and getting into lightroom. To hear that you can't be lazy was good and that it all depends on what you actually snap, not what you do in photoshop. I liked playing around with lightroom and learning what is good and what isn't. My blog is kind of confusing and i don't know how to line things up perfectly and I'll practice that. .... I also learned not to lose your jump drive after editing all the images:)
